SEX HISTORY OF SEX PARTNER (POLL 44)

Here are the results of a poll I carried out in February-March this year. It's about knowing the sexual history of our sex partners. I actually read about a similar poll (in an old magazine circa 1989) that was carried out by a popular women's magazine.

Here are the poll results for 'Have You Ever Had Sex With Someone Without Knowing His/Her Sexual History?

YES: 87 (67.4%)
NO: 42 (32.6%)
Total Votes: 129

It seems that all this AIDS scare has not done as much as one would have expected to get people to be smarter when it comes to who they sleep with. It's quite worrisome isn't it?

In the poll reported in the 1989 magazine, a total of 2,031 people were surveyed for a similar poll. 1,518 (74.7%) didn't know while 513 (25.3%) did. Not much difference. But I have to admit too that I have in the pass not dug up enough about my partner's history before sleeping with them.

Although I do have my regular checks, it's still not the right way to go about it because all these checks really do is report something that is already too late to prevent. These days, I've smartened up. Life is short enough already and I don't want to make it even shorter!
