A former teacher from a top Secondary school in Singapore is currently being investigated for allegedly having sex with her underage student. The encounters (there were more than one) allegedly began when the boy, who is now 16, was a member of one of the school's sports teams where the accused was the teacher-in-charge.

On learning of their son's intimate relationship with his teacher, the boy's parents lodged a complaint to the school and subsequently a police report was made.

This is not the first reported case where a teacher of the fairer sex has been accused of having sex with an underage student. Back in 2009, a 32-year-old teacher became the first woman to be jailed for having sex with a 15-year-old student in her school.

In that case, the woman pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 10 months' jail. 

The Penal Code was amended in 2008 to make sex between an adult woman and boy below 16 a crime.

But with regards to the story above, I have to admit that I am sickened by it. I mean, it would not be so bad if she was a young teacher, who men this teenager at a party and decided to have a fling. But the fact that she was HIS teacher, that's just plain wrong.

I know some guys were telling me if it were them, they would definitely realised their teenage wetdreams. The boy in the story probably did but still, this is a clear-cut abuse of power and authority.
