Doug is a long-time friend of mine. Well, more precisely, he is a friend of my husband's who ironically keep in touch with more with over the years because of the nature of my blog.

He is in the porn industry, not as an actor but a producer and is based in Hong Kong. When I first met him in the 1993, he was doing some home movies and selling them to a buyer in Hong Kong. If you are old enough and are familiar with the Asian Debutantes' Series, well he was behind most of them.

So anyway, he recently returned from a trip to the US where they had an expo and symposium for porn-producers. Honestly, I didn't know it was such a serious thing. I just figured it was grab a few willing actors, hit the lights and roll camera.

Interestingly, according to him, the younger look is passe! Hurray for me and all the older women out there. But seriously, for the past three years, the demand for older women in porn has sky-rocketed to unheard of levels before.

Doug did mention that television series' such Desperate Housewives and Cougar Town, amongst others, had been responsible for this spike. The problem is, they did express that sexy, well-shaped and good-looking women in this category are rather hard to come by and he agreed to it. To some extent, even the younger female actors are encouraged to look and behave 'older' to get roles.

Imagine that, an era when looking older is hip? I suppose the right word was mature. Apparently, teenie or young-girl movies are not as much in demand as they used to be at their height of popularity (2000-2005).

So this can only mean that younger men are looking for more matured women for that taste of being taken control of in bed. Well, as they say, or as I say, we may be older but we got more moves to rock your sexual world that many give us credit for. I know many mature women who will put many a younger girl to shame. We are like artists who get better with age, we are like wine, who taste better with age and best of all, we will seldom if ever, say 'No' for a good romp in the sack!
